QR Creative Testing Workbook

Align marketing, design, and analytics teams around structured experiments. This workbook mirrors the templates we use during co-creation workshops with enterprise customers.

Ideation Canvas

  • What customer problem or friction are we solving at this touchpoint?
  • Which emotions or actions should the creative spark (urgency, curiosity, reassurance, exclusivity)?
  • What promise can we make in 8 words or fewer next to the QR code?
  • How will we visually differentiate this QR from other signage in the environment?

Experiment Plan

  • Define the hypothesis and success metric (e.g., +15% scans, +10% conversion).
  • List creative variants and assign production owners for copy, design, and approvals.
  • Determine sample size requirements and run duration to reach statistical confidence.
  • Plan rollout logistics: printing, placement, staff enablement, and contingency options.

Accessibility & Compliance Review

  • Check color contrast ratios (aim for 4.5:1 or higher).
  • Include alternate instructions (short URL, SMS code, or staff assistance).
  • Verify ADA or regional signage regulations if applicable.
  • Document asset ownership, version numbers, and expiration dates.

Post-Test Retro

  • Capture quantitative results and confidence intervals.
  • Summarize qualitative observations from staff or customers.
  • Record learnings, unexpected findings, and follow-up ideas.
  • Decide whether to scale the winning variant, iterate, or archive.
